Candlewood Homes

Candlewood Homes designs and builds custom mini homes and ready-to-move homes from Halbstadt, Manitoba, serving "Manitoba, western Ontario, & southeastern Saskatchewan." The company states it "has been designing and building Ready to Move Homes since 1996 and Tiny Homes since 2010," and that the family's building trade goes back further still: owner Ken Penner "learned the trade of building from his father. They started building RTMs in 1974." Don Penner joined in 2000 and works as Operations Manager "together with our small team of dedicated employees." Buyers get "a complete warranty, friendly assistance, and free design services."

Four mini home models are published, each with floor plans: Country View, "the mini home with the modern monoslope with lots of windows"; Forest View, "the mini home with the timeless peaked roof design and a front deck," which also has a 3D walk-through; Mountain View, "the two story mini home that becomes more than mini"; and Lake View, "the mini home with a timeless peaked roof design and transom windows." A two-bedroom variant of the Forest View plan is offered. The company builds to custom specification rather than fixed catalogue only: "We love taking your ideas and turning them into reality… your dream tiny home!" Pricing is not published.
