Zen Tiny Homes

Zen Tiny Homes is a San Diego tiny home manufacturer that custom-builds tiny homes on wheels for buyers in North County San Diego and across Southern California. Its homes are built to ANSI standards on custom trailers, typically 16 to 40 feet long and 8 to 12 feet wide, and the company also builds multi-home floor plans and shipping container additions.

Published plans run from the 20-foot Alpine to the 38'7" Two-Level Gooseneck, along with L-shaped layouts that join two modules or a trailer and a container. Floor plans can be tailored to the buyer, and accessible plans with single-level living and an ADA-accessible bathroom are available on request.

Each project starts with the 3D Design Program, handled by phone and computer, and paying for it also holds a place on the company's build list. A site plan and purchase agreement follow, then construction. Zen quotes 90 days for pre-designed homes and 4 to 6 weeks longer for custom projects.

Projects start around $50K, and the company says a 20-foot tiny home on wheels runs about $60K and most of its 30' x 10' homes run about $80,000 to $120,000 finished. Site preparation, utility connections, permits and delivery are extra. Financing is available through its partner, US Tiny Loans. Zen delivers within the lower 48 states and ships to Hawaii.
