Details

2Pines Upfitters builds custom camper van and commercial van conversions out of a 5,500 sq ft shop at 326 Paul Street in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. The company states it has hand-built more than 75 vans since 2018 and that its builds are "Built & tested for -25 °C Canadian winters." Its About page recounts the origin: in 2018 founder Steven traded a motorbike for a 1991 Bluebird school bus, spent twelve months converting it, then lived in it full time before starting the company. The company was previously called Paved to Pines; its own FAQ states "Same company, new name. We rebranded from Paved to Pines to 2Pines Upfitters. Same crew, same shop, same quality."

Work is Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit based, in three streams: full custom campervans, four semi-custom floor plans (Aleppo, Cedar, Tamarack and Juniper — all listed "Coming Soon" as of this check), and commercial vehicle conversions, plus servicing and installations. The shop says it plans interiors in CAD before manufacturing and builds cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, heating and storage as one system. Materials are specified as "Solid hardwood. Real plywood. No particle board," with Corian countertops, Sileather ceilings and Sunbrella fabric offered. The site states a full custom conversion takes 8 to 12 weeks once the van is in the shop, that the customer buys the van separately, and that 2Pines delivers across Canada and the U.S. Its blog and page library also cover completed skoolie (school bus) conversions.
