Highland Vans builds its three standard camper van models on the all-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter at 872 Cambridge Dr in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, a suburb northwest of Chicago, where the design center, production floor and service bays share one building. The company says it was founded in Chicago in 2020 by three brothers and has delivered more than 150 vans. Its cabinetry is aluminum-framed rather than plywood, and the Pro package fits an 8.4 kWh Lithionics battery with Victron electrical components.

Each layout is priced with the new Sprinter included and sold as a Core or Pro build: the Aoraki, a Sprinter 144 with a Murphy bed and a rear gear garage, from $145,000; the Kinabalu, a Sprinter 144 with four belted seats and a rear dinette that converts to a day bed, from $150,000; and the Parbat, a Sprinter 170 with an interior shower cabin, a dinette and a Murphy bed, from $170,000. The company puts a new build at about three months from reserving a slot, and will discuss fully custom builds that fit none of the three layouts, on a longer timeline and with separate pricing. The shop also converts customer-supplied Sprinters, both empty and already built-out, and services and upgrades camper vans from other builders; its upgrade list covers the Ford Transit and RAM ProMaster as well as the Sprinter. Conversions carry a 3-year / 36,000-mile workmanship warranty, financing is arranged through the RV lender intoRV, and buyers either collect the van at the shop or have it shipped by enclosed transport.
