Rich’s Portable Cabins is a long-established, family-owned cabin builder in Oregon known for creating durable, handcrafted park model RVs and small cabins with a distinct, rustic style. Founded more than twenty years ago by timber worker–turned–builder Rich Daniels, the company began as a simple shed-building venture that quickly evolved into fully featured cabins on wheels. What started with a portable sawmill, a few backyard sheds, and a knack for carpentry has grown into one of the Northwest’s most recognizable names in portable cabin construction.
Rich’s early projects—sheds, bunkhouses, playhouses, and even a mobile tourist information booth—eventually led him to design his first park model RV. With state certification secured and demand rising, Rich and his wife, Lori, launched Rich’s Portable Cabins, steadily expanding their operations from a barn workshop to a full production facility. Despite industry downturns and shifting regulations, the company has continued to thrive, building a reputation for quality craftsmanship, personalized service, and creative designs tailored to full-time living, vacations, or weekend retreats.
Today, RPC builds a broad range of models—lofted cabins, compact designs, family layouts, and custom builds—each known for sturdy construction, comfortable interiors, and the charm of Rich’s signature style. The Daniels family remains deeply involved, with their daughter Harmony helping carry the company into its next chapter.
Beyond manufacturing, the family has also developed an RV park on their timbered property near Anthony Lakes, offering nightly stays in their cabins and showcasing sustainable forestry and eco-tourism principles. Through two decades of growth, Rich’s Portable Cabins has stayed true to its roots: thoughtful design, strong craftsmanship, and a passion for building cabins that feel like home.
