This 2004 Ford E350 short bus conversion was not thrown together as a quick flip. It was built slowly, thoughtfully, and with a lot of love by a couple who wanted a taller, more comfortable rig for coastal trips, camping, and time outdoors.

After first traveling cross-country in a simple converted cargo van, they realized how much they loved life on the road- but wanted something they could stand up in. That search led them to this former preschool transportation bus in Palm Beach. They removed the original seats, drove it all the way back to California, and began shaping it around the kind of travel they actually wanted to experience.

When the COVID lockdowns began, the bus became their escape. They would take it to the beach, into the mountains near Ojai, and on quiet camping trips, slowly building it out one careful step at a time with hardwoods, high-grade plywood, and a layout designed for real adventures rather than showy extras.

Over the years, this bus has crossed the country multiple times, traveled up the California coast, made memories in places like Big Sur, and even became part of some of their earliest family trips with their children. Now that their family has grown again, they feel it deserves to be out on the road instead of sitting in the driveway.
