The story of this Starlight Retreat-

I built this 280 square foot tiny home myself, wanting to create a sanctuary to truly unwind in. From the spa-inspired soaking tub to the stargazer’s loft skylight, I made sure every inch of this tiny home serves a purpose while still feeling homey at the end of the day.

I built it on a drop-down Iron Eagle trailer, giving the loft extra headroom—because no one should have to crawl into bed every night. At 24 feet long and 8.5 feet wide, this home has just the right balance of space and coziness.

The kitchen was my non-negotiable. I wanted a place where real meals could be made, not just reheated. So I installed a 24-inch gas range with an oven, the kind that makes baking fresh bread or simmering a homemade sauce a joy. A full-size sink was a must—because tiny home living shouldn’t mean tiny conveniences. Custom cabinetry was built with plywood by hand, ensuring storage for everything from cast-iron skillets to Sunday morning coffee mugs.

The bathroom is where self care is essential. Most tiny homes sacrifice comfort in this space, but I refused to. A deep soaking tub—a rarity in homes this size—became the heart of the bathroom, perfect for unwinding after a long day. A flushing toilet adds the convenience of traditional plumbing, and I made sure to include washer & dryer hookups so a stackable could be put in with ease.

Comfort shouldn’t be seasonal, so I made sure this home is built for year-round living. The mini-split AC & heating system keeps things warm in winter and crisp in summer, so no matter the weather, home always feels right.

One of my favorite features? The ample lighting. With 12 windows scattered throughout, this space never feels dark or closed in. And in the loft? A skylight that invites the stars in at night and floods the space with golden morning light.

Storage was another necessity. I built custom under-stair cabinets, tucking away space for everything you need. The electrical system? Designed for efficiency. With a 50-amp RV-style hookup, you’ll have all the power you need, and 90% of the home runs on a single 20-amp circuit, making it incredibly energy-smart.

This isn’t just a tiny house. It’s a home that tells a story—the story of thoughtful craftsmanship, of late nights spent perfecting every detail, of a space meant to make memories.
